H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to serve clients in a local office.

You will prepare complete, accurate returns for individuals and businesses, conduct client interviews, and identify tax savings opportunities with empathy and professionalism. This role emphasizes delivering consultative service, ongoing learning through our training and technology, and building lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience working in a client facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations (individuals and businesses).
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and provide personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
