Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Professional in North Carolina to interview clients, prepare tax returns, and provide IRS support.

You will work with an experienced team to deliver accurate taxes and offer additional services, contributing to client growth and retention. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, with CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred and experience with virtual tax interviews and complex returns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support (All certification levels can provide tax notice services; Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation).
• Mentor and support teammates.
