Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations. You'll conduct in-depth client interviews, provide personalized recommendations, and build trusted relationships.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields including individual and business returns.
• Experience in client-facing advisory roles and ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education and licensing requirements.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse and complex situations (individual and business).
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications; provide recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
