H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations with accuracy. You will prepare returns for individuals and businesses, conduct client interviews, and provide personalized recommendations backed by training and technology.

This in-person role offers an hourly rate, an incentive plan, and opportunities to grow in tax and financial services while delivering empathetic, consultative service in a supportive office environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields
• Experience in client-facing advisory roles
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly
• Must meet IRS and state continuing education requirements
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment
