Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete and accurate tax returns for clients with varied and complex situations.

You will conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial scenarios and tax implications, then provide clear, personalized recommendations. This role emphasizes building trusted client relationships and identifying savings opportunities, supported by training and an incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns
• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must meet continuing education and IRS/state requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide personalized recommendations
• Build trusted client relationships through empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant HR Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
