Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses. You will conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide clear, personalized recommendations.

You will build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and HR Block products.

Qualifications

• H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment completion is required.
• Minimum 1 year of tax prep/related experience including individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations (individual and business).
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and HR Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
