Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete and accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations, including individual and business returns.

You will conduct in-depth client interviews, offer clear tax guidance, and build trusted relationships while identifying savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products. This in-person role offers industry-leading training, competitive pay, and an incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide clear, personalized recommendations and savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
• Collaborate with team members and maintain a client-focused office environment
