Job summary

You will interview clients to understand their finances and offer personalized recommendations, highlighting tax savings opportunities and relevant Block products. You’ll provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed, collaborating with teammates to maintain a client-focused office environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field preferred.
• CPA/EA or IRS credential a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must stay current with continuing education and IRS/state requirements.
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse, complex tax situations (individuals and businesses).
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications; provide personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings and product opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.

Education

High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field

CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) or other IRS Circular 230 credential
