Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to assist clients with complex tax situations, preparing accurate returns for individuals and businesses. You will interview clients to understand finances and tax implications, then provide personalized recommendations to maximize savings.

You will deliver empathetic, consultative service, build lasting client relationships, and collaborate with teammates in a supportive, in-person office environment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation experience.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication, ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
