Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns and advise clients through complex tax scenarios at a local office in Minnesota. You will interview clients, identify opportunities for savings, and deliver empathetic, personalized service backed by strong training and technology.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields, including individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations (individual and business).
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications; provide clear recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities and HB products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
