Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns and advise clients in person at a local Block tax office in Minnesota.

You will interview clients, identify savings opportunities, and deliver empathetic, consultative service backed by strong training and technology. You'll contribute to a supportive, client-focused office environment, build lasting relationships, and potentially grow within tax and financial services.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns for diverse and complex situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Offer IRS support, tax notice guidance, and audit assistance
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive client-focused office environment
