Job summary

Jackson Hewitt is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Preparer to guide clients through tax forms, including multiyear, multistate, and year-end returns, with accuracy and integrity.

You will interview clients face-to-face, support growth, answer calls, and provide tax planning while mentoring teammates and maintaining confidentiality.

Flexible schedules (day/night, weekends, full-time or part-time) and training are offered to help build skills in a fast-paced tax environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ seasons of tax experience.
• Experience completing individual, trust, &/or partnership tax returns.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent license is a bonus.
• PTIN Certification: Yes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Answer client calls via our national call center routing system.
• Provide tax planning and future tax planning to clients in a timely fashion.
• Collection and processing of clients’ payments while ensuring timely deposits.
• Marketing and business generation efforts.
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
• Mentor and support teammates, providing guidance and, in some cases, acting as a lead.
• Handle sensitive, confidential information with working knowledge of the business.
