Qualifications

• Must have completed the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Enrollment
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping experience including individual and business returns
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication, able to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education and requirements
• High school diploma or GED is required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and provide personalized recommendations
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and product referrals
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
