Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year experience in tax prep or related fields including individual and business returns.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's in accounting/finance; 5+ years tax experience; CPA/EA.
• Familiarity with GoSystem or UltraTax; AI-powered tools (Copilot/ChatGPT).

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications.
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities and products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notices, and audit guidance to clients.
• Collaborate with team and maintain a positive client-focused office environment.
