Qualifications

• Must complete H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of tax prep/accounting experience including individual and business returns
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly to clients
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations (individual & business)
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide recommendations
• Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings and H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
