Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations, prepare accurate returns, and uncover savings opportunities. This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office. You'll interview clients to understand their finances, advise on tax implications, and build lasting relationships while

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
