Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence. You will prepare complete returns for individuals and businesses, conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations, and provide personalized recommendations.

This in-person role at a local H&R Block office includes training and access to industry-leading technology, a competitive hourly rate, and an incentive plan that rewards impact as you build tax

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
