Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations, prepare accurate returns, and uncover savings opportunities.

You’ll work in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, supported by industry-leading training and technology and a competitive hourly rate. You will interview clients, explain tax concepts clearly, and contribute to a client-focused office environment with an incentive plan for impact as you grow your tax

Qualifications

• Must complete H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative roles.
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications; provide clear recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment.
