Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, conduct client interviews, and deliver personalized recommendations. You will help clients navigate complex tax situations with guidance supported by our training and technology, and you’ll build lasting relationships.

This in-person role is based at a local H&R Block office in New York.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and H&R Block products.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
