Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations, including individuals and businesses. You will conduct in-depth client interviews, provide personalized recommendations, and build trusted client relationships while leveraging industry-leading training and technology.

This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, offering an opportunity to grow in tax and financial services

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 1 year of experience in tax preparation/related fields including individual and business returns
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED is required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities and HR Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
