Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of tax prep or related experience including individual & business returns
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse client situations (individual & business)
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and life changes
• Provide personalized recommendations and tax savings opportunities
• Offer IRS support, notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
