Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an experienced Tax Professional for seasonal coverage to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You will conduct client tax interviews, prepare returns, and provide IRS support with the backing of a knowledgeable team.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s in accounting or related field, CPA or EA certification, and 5+ years of accounting or tax experience, including virtual interview experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience with virtual tax interviews.
• Experience completing individual returns.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Mentor and support teammates

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

CPA or Enrolled Agent certification

High school diploma / equivalent or higher
