Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal tax professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs in a fast-paced environment. You’ll conduct interviews, prepare returns, and help clients make informed financial decisions with the support of an experienced team.

The role requires CA/EA credentials or progress toward them, plus a strong background in tax and client service. Training is provided; franchise office operations apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA or EA certification preferred.
• Experience completing complex individual, trust and partnership returns.
• 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience with virtual tax interviews and client onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face-to-face and via virtual tools.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns for diverse clients.
• Generate business growth, improve client retention and offer additional services.
• Provide clients with IRS support and audit notice assistance.
• Mentor teammates and support franchise operations.
