Job summary

H&R Block in Mitchell, SD is seeking an experienced Tax Professional for a seasonal role, serving clients with diverse tax needs.

You will conduct tax interviews face-to-face or virtually, prepare complete returns, and assist with growth and client retention under the guidance of a franchisee and HR Block resources.

This position requires a bachelor's in accounting or related field, CPA or EA certification, and 5+ years of tax/accounting experience; prior virtual interview experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
