Job summary

H&R Block in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex individual and business tax scenarios. You will interview clients, prepare accurate returns, and offer personalized recommendations to maximize savings while ensuring compliance.

You will work in a supportive, team-oriented office, with industry-leading training and access to GoSystem and Ultratax. This in-person role offers competitive hourly pay and an incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation or related experience.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment.
