Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns for diverse client situations, conduct in-depth interviews, and deliver personalized tax guidance. You’ll drive client relationships with proactive savings opportunities and leverage H&R Block tools and training.

You will work in a local in-person tax office, bringing strong communication and advisory skills to a collaborative team focused on client success and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation or related experience
• Experience in client-facing roles
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must meet IRS and state continuing education requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct client interviews to assess financial situations and tax implications
• Suggest tax savings opportunities and suitable H&R Block products
• Provide IRS notice support and audit guidance when needed
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive client-focused office
