Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns, advise clients, and grow tax expertise with our training and technology. This in-person role is based at a local H&R Block tax office.

You will conduct client interviews to understand financial situations, provide personalized recommendations, and build lasting relationships while supporting IRS processes. We offer competitive hourly pay and an incentive plan to reward impact and growth.

Qualifications

• Completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 1+ year of tax preparation experience (individuals and businesses).
• Experience in client-facing, consultative roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must meet IRS/state requirements and continue education.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and implications.
• Provide tax savings opportunities and product recommendations.
• Offer IRS support, notices, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team and maintain a client-focused office environment.
