Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses. You will conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and offer personalized recommendations, while building trusted relationships and identifying tax savings opportunities.

You’ll provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed, collaborating with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to explain tax concepts to clients
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities
