Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations, including individuals and businesses.

You will interview clients to understand life changes, offer personalized recommendations, and identify opportunities to maximize savings while delivering empathetic, consultative service. This in-person role is based at a local H&R Block tax office.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field
• Experience in client-facing advisory roles
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations
• Provide personalized recommendations and tax savings opportunities
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team and maintain a client-focused office environment
