Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns, interview clients to understand financials, and identify tax-saving opportunities. You will build trusted client relationships, provide tax guidance, and support clients with notices while working in a local office.

The role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, with a focus on delivering empathetic, consultative service and leveraging industry-leading training and technology.

Qualifications

• Passing the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• At least 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields.
• Experience in a client-facing, advisory role.
• Ability to explain tax concepts in clear, client-friendly language.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financials and implications.
• Provide tax savings opportunities and product recommendations.
• Provide IRS notice support and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team and maintain a positive client-focused office environment.
