Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Tax Professional for seasonal tax work at a local office. You will prepare returns for diverse clients, interview clients to understand financial situations, and provide personalized tax strategies with the support of Block training and technology.

You will deliver empathetic, consultative service, uncover tax savings opportunities, and assist with IRS notices as needed in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field.
• Experience in a client-facing advisory role.
• Ability to explain tax concepts in clear client-friendly language.
• Must meet continuing education and IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and small businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide trusted, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
