Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence. You will prepare accurate returns, interview clients thoroughly, and offer tax-saving opportunities using our training and technology.

You will work in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, delivering empathetic, consultative service and building lasting client relationships while meeting IRS requirements and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation or related experience.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles.
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language.
• Must meet continuing education and IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications.
• Provide clear recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Build trusted client relationships through empathetic service.
• Provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed.
