Job summary

Jackson Hewitt is seeking a Seasonal Entry Level Tax Preparer to guide clients through tax rules and filings. You will conduct face-to-face interviews, prepare accurate returns, and provide IRS audit support while aiming to grow the client base and upsell services.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, basic math and computer knowledge, and are willing to learn. Flexible schedules include day, night, weekends, full-time or part-time roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
• PTIN Certification is required or highly preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth and client retention.
• Provide clients with IRS audit support.
• Complete all tax forms in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Process client payments and deposits timely.
• Marketing and business generation efforts.
• Advise clients to ensure correct tax form completion.
• Answer client calls via the national call center routing system.
• Answer questions on future tax planning.
• Resolve client complaints or escalate to supervisor as needed.
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
