Job summary

Jackson Hewitt is hiring a Seasonal Entry Level Tax Preparer to guide clients through tax processes and prepare accurate returns. You will conduct in-person interviews, explain tax forms, file electronically, and provide audit support when needed.

You’ll help grow the client base, retain customers, and offer additional products and services while maintaining high standards of service and integrity.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation with focus on accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced setting is preferred.
• Basic computer and math skills required.
• Sales or marketing experience is a plus.
• Experience in accounting, finance, retail, bookkeeping, or tax is preferred.
• PTIN certification is required or must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, explain and prepare tax forms for clients.
• Complete e-filing and provide copies for client review.
• Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients.
• Prepare accurate tax returns and related forms.
• Assist with client growth and retention and offer additional services.
• Provide IRS audit support and respond to client questions.
• Process payments and support office priorities through teamwork.
