Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in-person. No prior tax experience is required as training and support start from day one, helping you gather client information, prepare returns, and address questions while building client relationships.

You will earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and contribute to client success during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
