H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates. Training and support are provided to build tax knowledge and client relationships.

No prior tax experience is required, and you will earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you learn. Availability to cover peak periods and weekends is expected in this role.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsabilités

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in an understandable way
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations
