Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to begin a career in tax and client services. You will work in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, gather information from clients, and prepare tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.

No prior tax experience is required—training is provided, and you’ll earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving abilities with organized information and solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information with guidance.
