Job summary

No prior tax experience is required, and you’ll earn a competitive hourly rate as you build tax knowledge. The role emphasizes client service, problem solving, and teamwork, with in-person work and hours that may include evenings/weekends during peak season.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent training.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools.
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
