Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate in Colorado to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training from experienced teammates. This in-person role offers an hourly wage with opportunities to grow as tax knowledge increases.

No prior tax experience is required; training is provided. You will explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and build strong client relationships while supporting office priorities.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED/ equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
