H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training from experienced teammates. The role emphasizes clear communication and providing helpful tax guidance.

No prior tax experience is required; you’ll receive training and support from day one and opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and capabilities. Availability during peak periods is expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course is required.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly.
• Problem-solving abilities and organizing information to identify solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in understandable terms.
