Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You’ll gather information from clients, prepare returns with training, and answer questions while building client relationships.

No prior tax experience is required; training and support are provided, with opportunities to increase earnings as you gain tax knowledge. Availability to work during tax season is expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills with ability to organize information.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand tax situations.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend products/services.
• Analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities.
