Job summary

H&R Block in Kentucky is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to help clients gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions with training from day one. This in-person role offers an hourly rate and a path to grow tax knowledge while delivering clear guidance to clients.

You will meet with clients, apply problem-solving skills, identify tax savings opportunities, and build strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience interacting with customers in service roles.
• Strong communication and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills with ability to organize information.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based assistants.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving to address questions with available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
