Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate in Minnesota to work with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with support from experienced teammates. You’ll earn an hourly wage with training and opportunities to grow as you build tax knowledge.

This in-person role is based at a local H&R Block tax office, and no prior tax experience is required. You’ll develop valuable client-service skills while helping clients understand their tax situations and maximize savings

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent training required.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
