H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office in Minnesota. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions with training and support from day one.

No prior tax experience is required; you’ll earn an hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you learn and grow in the role. This is an in-person, client‑facing position emphasizing service and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to organize information and find solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in an understandable way.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
