Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. No prior tax experience is required, as training is provided from day one.

You will meet with clients, gather information, prepare returns, explain tax implications, and identify potential savings opportunities while building strong client relationships. This role is based in Georgia and offers an hourly wage with opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance
