Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office in Cincinnati, OH. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.

No prior tax experience is required, and you can earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you gain tax knowledge and grow in the role. Evening/weekend availability during peak periods is expected.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Problem-solving and ability to organize information effectively.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand tax situations.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with support from teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and offer recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant products/services.
• Apply problem-solving to address questions with guidance and resources.
