H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates. You’ll learn on the job and earn a competitive hourly rate at a local tax office.

No prior tax experience required; you’ll explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and build strong client relationships through teamwork. Availability is aligned with tax season and in-person work is required.

Qualifications

Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
High school diploma / GED/ equivalent.

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
