H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with support from experienced teammates. No prior tax experience is required, and training is provided from day one.

You’ll earn an hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge. Availability may vary and peak periods can require up to 40 hours per week. This role emphasizes client service and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Completion of H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication and the ability to ask questions to understand needs.
• Problem solving and ability to organize information to find solutions.
• Familiarity with AI-based tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
