Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with support from experienced teammates. You’ll explain tax concepts clearly and identify savings opportunities while building strong client relationships.

No prior tax experience is required; training starts day one. Earn an hourly wage with potential increases as tax knowledge grows, and participate in a supportive, in-person team

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly.
• Problem-solving abilities with ability to organize information.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
