Job summary

H&R Block, a leader in tax services, is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join a local office in Michigan. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.

No prior tax experience required; you’ll learn on the job, earn an hourly rate, and have opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows; in-person role with flexible hours during peak season.

Qualifications

Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent
Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment
Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations to clients
Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions during tax season
Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork
